Greetings Folks,

Well it’s finally December. The time of year where the daylight hours are few (in the North especially) and the cold season of Winter approaches.

A dusting of snow on the ground amid trees with fall-coloured leaves and blue skies

The snow seemed to arrive rather early up here this year with the fall colours covered in a dusting some weeks ago.

For us this is when we get a little bit of down time. The garden is all frozen over. The cows are contentedly eating hay and grazing a bit when the snow melts away enough. The woodstove is full and pumping a cozy dry heat into our living space.

While we do get some time to relax, the firewood/bush work season is upon us and next Syrup season is in our thoughts as well. 2019 should be when we open the online store, but since we have so little product right now, it may not open until the summer depending how syrup season goes.

In the mean time we’re going to rest up and stay warm. In the new year my maternity leave is up and I go back to work. With that, I am going to start doing inventory blog posts. We’ll slowly be putting up pictures and posts all about the beautiful flora and fauna found in our lovely slice of paradise. So, stay tuned!

Since we will not be posting again until the new year, Mike and I want to wish everyone a happy holiday season, and all the best for the new year ahead!

Enjoy!!
