Spring Doings
Well, my prediction of when syrup would happen was wrong! Syrup season this year came and went in early March. We tapped 367 trees and made a whopping 410 L. That’s our personal best!
We could have kept making more but after many all nighters and some bigger batches (for us) we decided to shut down early and move on to other things.

Our house build at the farm is top of mind these days. I do have a plan for the garden that involves a big overhaul and implementation of permaculture principles but it will be a few years in the making.
We are all very excited to keep sharing our progress on our house of dreams with you all and I will aim to have another update at the end of summer.
Otherwise we’ll be at the Sustain Algoma Expo on June 14th
And the farmer’s market in Hilton Beach will start later in June.
Busy days ahead! Enjoy the sunshine.
